We are the data controller for the personal data we collect in connection with the Ecommerce Growth Academy website and course. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) [ZB817452].
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. It applies to visitors to our website and to people who purchase or enrol in the Academy.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. The Academy is intended for adults operating businesses. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. The table below sets out what we use your data for and the legal basis we rely on.

|---|---|
| To process your purchase and provide you with access to the Academy | Performance of a contract |

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that our interests do not override your rights and freedoms. You can request more detail about this assessment by contacting us.
Where we rely on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
If you are an Academy member, we may send you emails about updates to the course, new content, and other Ecom180 products and services that we believe may be relevant to you. You can opt out of these emails at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or by contacting us at info@ecom180.com.
Opting out of marketing emails will not affect service emails relating to your Academy account, which we need to send as part of delivering the course.
The Academy is hosted on and delivered through Skool, a platform operated by Skool.com, Inc., a company based in the United States.
When you purchase and access the Academy, Skool will collect and process certain personal data about you as part of operating the platform. Skool acts as a separate data controller and/or processor for that data. Their handling of your data is governed by their own Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms and Conditions, which we encourage you to read.
Skool acts as the merchant of record for all transactions, meaning they handle payment processing and are responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes. Your payment card details are processed by Skool's payment processors, not by us.
Because Skool is based in the United States, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the US when you use the platform. See Section 7 for more information about international data transfers.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with third parties only in the following circumstances:
We will never share your personal data, business information, or CART benchmark data with other Academy members or third parties for commercial purposes without your explicit consent.
Ecom180 Ltd is based in England and Wales. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UK, including the United States (in connection with the Skool platform).
Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements. These safeguards may include:
You can obtain more information about the safeguards in place for international transfers by contacting us at info@ecom180.com.
Our website uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to help the site function properly and to understand how it is being used.
When you first visit the website, you will be given the opportunity to accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site, or by adjusting your browser settings.
The Skool platform uses its own cookies. Please refer to Skool's Cookie Policy for details of the cookies set when you use the Academy.
We retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law.
When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
As a UK data subject, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances.
Ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format in certain circumstances.
Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.
If we are processing your data based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@ecom180.com. We will respond within one month. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
If you are based in the EU or EEA, you have equivalent rights under the EU GDPR. In addition to contacting us, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection:
We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you contact the ICO. Please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve the matter.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in how we operate or to comply with updated legal requirements. Where changes are significant, we will notify Academy members by email.
The date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last updated. We encourage you to review it periodically.
